The Buck Ups were a band led by Butch Phelps, began in 2009 and packed with NYC music luminaries including Keith Christopher (Lynyrd Skynyrd, Billy Joe Shaver, the Yayhoos...), Benny Landa (Peter Frampton...), Justin Wallace, Yisroel Gootblatt (Brooklyn Jazz Warriors), Peter Karp, and others. The Buck Ups were mainstays at great bygone NYC venues The Lakeside Lounge, The National Underground and Rodeo Bar.
